My classes are built around joy.

Why I’m a Teaching Artist

Working in the performing arts and putting yourself and your artistic vision on display takes discipline and bravery. I believe that dance, drama, and music can be more fully explored when students are encouraged to “jump in” with their full energy, mind, and body to investigate their ideas and artistry. With over a decade of experience as a teaching artist and my commitment to creating joyful learning environments, I am confident in my abilities to provide an inclusive and collaborative classroom for every student. Above all else, I aim to inspire my students by sharing my love and appreciation of the arts while encouraging them to bring their artist sensibilities into the world with curiosity, acceptance, and empathy.

Teaching Experience

I have over a decade of experience teaching tap, jazz, and musical theatre to children of all ages. Two years ago I started teaching creative movement to pre-k children and during the pandemic, successfully transitioned all styles to the virtual classroom. I have helped create amazing after-school experiences for students, as well as numerous recital numbers for private dance studios. I’ve completed all four levels of the core improv program at the UCB training studio in NYC and have experience leading introductory level workshops for high schoolers. I have also choreographed several high school musicals in New Jersey, earning a prestigious nomination for Best Choreography from Paper Mill Playhouse’s Rising Star Awards for my work. My classes are always filled with good technique, fun beats, and laughter!
